this is a messenger project. we want to proof that even messages sent in a bottle may arrive somewhere on a shore of a vast ocean.

balticbottle started with the Åland bottle on August 11, 2011.

On a sailing journey back to Stockholm, Sweden from Tallin, Estonia, we threw an emptied bottle of Irish Whisky into the Baltic Sea near Sottunga on the Åland Islands on August 11th 2011 at position  60°4′ N / 020°55′ E

This bottle has not been found yet, but we are never losing our hope.
Helgoland Bottle has been found a few days after we dropped it into the North Sea.
